平遥古城天吉祥博物馆是一家占据优越地理位置、具有丰富馆藏珍品的博物馆，位于历史文化名城、世界文化遗产平遥古城内南大街北口路东20号。由著名书法家徐文达先生题写馆名。
　　馆址系明代建筑，建筑风貌端庄大方、布局严谨、自然合理，为面阔六间位的二进四合院，是研究古商铺建筑难得的活标本。清代，平遥著名货庄长盛蔚曾设号于此。该号分庄设于山东、河南、上海等地。极盛期曾设于俄罗斯、蒙古，为晋商中一家跨国大商号。
　　馆内设有7馆14室。馆藏珍品以不同历史时期的家俱、瓷器、书法、绣品为重点。
　　浏览名种材质如紫檀、红木，花梨木桌、椅、凳、条案、架子床，必将激发热烈而浓厚的生活情趣；品味各样陶瓷、器皿、定会陶冶情操；观赏书画大师如石庵（刘墉）、瘿瓢（黄慎）、徐悲鸿等传世佳作，一准大饱眼福；至于猎奇价值边城的花梨全螺镶嵌落地整容镜，更使人流连忘返。
　　Tianjixiang Museum of Pingyao ancient city is a museum with rich collection of treasures, occupying a superior geographical location. It is located at No. 20, east of Beikou Road, neinan street, Pingyao ancient city, a famous historical and cultural city and a world cultural heritage. Mr. Xu Wenda, a famous calligrapher, inscribed the name of the museum.
There are 7 halls and 14 rooms in the museum. The collection focuses on furniture, porcelain, calligraphy and embroidery in different historical periods.
